Step 5: Open the App
Time to see your device in action.
Download the Palpable app
- iPhone: Search "Palpable" on the App Store
- Android: Search "Palpable" on Google Play
Sign in
Use the same account you used on the website when you downloaded your setup.
Find your device
Your device should appear on the home screen within a minute or two. You'll see:
- Device name and its status (a green dot means it's online)
- Connected modules -- the sensors and actuators the Pi detected
- Live sensor readings updating in real time
What you should see
If everything worked, you'll see your device listed with a green "online" status. Tap on it to see:
- A list of every module the Pi detected (temperature sensor, distance sensor, buttons, etc.)
- Live readings from each sensor, updating every few seconds
- The option to create behaviors and chat with PAL
Don't see your device?
- Make sure the Pi's LED is off (not blinking). If it's still blinking, the Pi hasn't finished connecting.
- Pull down on the home screen to refresh.
- Wait a minute or two -- cloud registration can take a moment.
- If it still doesn't appear, see Troubleshooting.
After this step: You can see your device and its live sensor data in the app.
